James J. Bigoness

James J. Bigoness is a partner with Clausen Miller P.C. who concentrates his practice in subrogation. His practice includes products liability, construction litigation, premises liability and personal injury litigation.
Mr. Bigoness joined Clausen Miller P.C. after practicing in the fields of products liability, construction and negligence law. He has several settlements and jury verdicts in excess of $1,000,000, including a recent $29,000,000 verdict for his client. Prior to entering private practice, he was an Assistant State's Attorney in Cook County where he tried 39 jury trials, including several high-profile murder cases.
Mr. Bigoness graduated from the DePaul University College of Law in 1982 and received a B.S. degree from St. Joseph's College. He is a member of the Federal Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois and is admitted before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He belongs to the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
