Gordon K. Walton is a partner in the Liability Coverage Group at Clausen Miller P.C. in Chicago, Illinois.  Mr. Walton devotes a significant portion of his practice to complex tort and environmental litigation, including mass tort cases involving multiple plaintiffs and defendants.  Mr. Walton has experience resolving a wide range of coverage issues in a variety of jurisdictions that arise under standard general liability, pollution legal liability, professional liability, excess and umbrella liability policies, in addition to many specialty coverage policies.  Mr. Walton frequently speaks on mainstream and emerging insurance coverage and general litigation issues.  Mr. Walton’s proven experience has provided him with opportunities to be on the forefront of new developments in insurance.

Several of the firm’s clients have called upon Mr. Walton to handle their large inventory of construction defect and toxic tort claims involving asbestos, mold, silica and welding rods.  In fact, Mr. Walton is currently acting as national mold counsel for one of the firm's largest clients. 

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Walton gained valuable litigation experience as a Cook County Assistant State's Attorney.

Mr. Walton received his B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1990.  Mr. Walton obtained his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 1994, where he received numerous awards.

Mr. Walton has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the State of Illinois. He has also been admitted on a case basis in several jurisdictions of the United States. Mr. Walton is a member of the Cook County and Chicago Bar Associations and has been actively involved in the volunteer programs. He is also a member of the Chicago Inns of Court, a society of prominent lawyers and judges that addresses current issues in the legal community and significant court decisions.
