W. Gregory Aimonette
Senior Associate
W. Gregory Aimonette is a senior associate in the Chicago office of Clausen Miller P.C. Approximately half of Greg's practice is concentrated in the litigation and handling of subrogation matters. He has litigated fires and explosions caused by industrial and residential product defect, design and improper installation, industrial toxic chemical spills, defectively designed and installed sprinkler, plumbing and heating/cooling system floods, acetylene torch fires, vehicular defect related fires, large-scale steel mill conversion accidents, industrial and commercial construction collapses, and natural gas leak explosions.
Another large portion of Greg's practice includes representation of large home appliances manufacturers in product liability matters, paint and other chemical manufacturers in toxic tort litigation, condominium associations in mold and environmental litigation, and general and sub contractors in construction litigation. Greg has also represented one of the nation’s largest pharmacy retailers in cases concerning pharmaceutical malpractice, premises liability and employee bad acts.
Greg’s practice also includes first-party property, casualty and inland marine insurance coverage. He has handled and litigated matters throughout Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and numerous federal jurisdictions.
Greg received his Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University in 1994 and his Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1997. While at Northern Illinois, Greg was a member of the Mock Trial Team selected by Northern District of Illinois Judge John Darrah. He also served as a Rule 711 Senior Law Clerk for the Lee County, Illinois, State’s Attorney where he successfully prosecuted over a hundred cases prior to graduation, including felony jury trials as first chair.
Prior to entering private practice, Greg was appointed an Assistant State’s Attorney by Cook County State’s Attorney Richard Devine. As an Assistant State’s Attorney, Greg tried numerous bench and jury trials in the misdemeanor and felony courts. He has also served as a Commissioner for the City of Wheaton, Illinois.
In his free time Greg relives his doubtful glory days coaching pee wee sports for his 3 children.
