Timothy F. Jacobs
Senior Associate
Timothy F. Jacobs devotes a significant portion of his practice to complex insurance disputes, including disputes over coverage for environmental liabilities, asbestos liabilities, and toxic tort liabilities. Many of the matters in which Mr. Jacobs represents insurers involve multiple plaintiffs and defendants. He has experience in resolving a wide range of coverage issues in a variety of jurisdictions that arise under general liability, pollution legal liability, professional liability, excess and umbrella policies. Mr. Jacobs has also represented construction contractors as well as sureties in complex construction and construction defect disputes.
After graduating from DePaul University College of Law, Mr. Jacobs began working with contractors and other businessmen in commercial and construction disputes. Mr. Jacobs also represented creditors in bankruptcy actions related to those disputes.
Mr. Jacobs is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. He is admitted to the Courts for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. He has been admitted pro hac vice in numerous state and federal jurisdictions throughout the United States.
