Michael S. Errera, concentrates his practice on catastrophic losses in the areas of subrogation, casualty/liability defense, and business/commercial litigation.  Mr. Errera's litigation experience includes handling claims across the country in federal and state court.  Mr. Errera’s cases have involved fires and explosions in various sized manufacturing and food processing plants, including a foil manufacturing plant, an oil refinery, a soft drink plant, and a food ingredient plant.  Mr. Errera's cases have included a wide range of product failures including a fume abatement system, a sauna, an electrostatic paint booth, polyurethane foam insulation, electrical wiring malfunctions, improper welding techniques, and industrial equipment failures.  Mr. Errera's litigation experience includes handling substantial claims involving property damage, business interruption, and extra expense.  Mr. Errera’s liability practice includes a jury’s return of a not liable verdict for large waste hauling company against a claim of personal injury.

Mr. Errera’s litigation experience was initially formed as an in-house insurance counsel. In this position, Mr. Errera tried twenty-five cases to verdict in defense of bodily injury claims, uninsured motorist claims, and bad-faith insurance carrier claims. Additionally, Mr. Errera handled five appeals, one of which was published as a case of first impression in Illinois.
