Tyler Jay Lory is a partner with Clausen Miller P.C. Mr. Lory splits his practice between coverage work and defense work in general liability, professional liability, product liability, environmental liability, director and officer liability, and errors and omissions work for a variety of professionals, including real estate agents, property managers, title agents, insurance agents and securities dealers.
In his career, Mr. Lory has been retained by some of the country’s best known carriers and companies. A 1981 graduate of the Boston College School of Law, Mr. Lory is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is also admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Mr. Lory is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. He is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Professional Liability Underwriting Society and the Defense Research Institute.
A featured speaker at national insurance company seminars, Mr. Lory has spoken on the topics of Preparing the Defense Expert Witness in medical malpractice cases, the Analysis of Medical Records in casualty defense cases and Coverage Issues in professional liability cases.
Mr. Lory has an "AV" rating with Martindale-Hubbell indicating the highest ranking in legal ability and ethical standards as determined by his peers in the legal community. He has also been honored as a 2007 and 2008 New York Super Lawyer.
