Dennis D. Fitzpatrick

Dennis D. Fitzpatrick is a partner and shareholder with Clausen Miller P.C., handling first-party property insurance, environmental litigation, professional liability defense, construction law and subrogation matters.

Mr. Fitzpatrick has tried jury cases involving complex insurance litigation (including bad faith defense) and construction cases (including subrogation and design professional defense), with trials in Florida, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Illinois. He has also been admitted pro hac vice in many courts around the United States, handling litigation, arbitrations and mediations.  He has also prosecuted fraud cases in state and federal courts.

Mr. Fitzpatrick received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University in 1986. While attending law school at DePaul University College of Law, he joined the Firm as a Summer Associate in 1988 and received his J.D. in 1989. In addition to Illinois, he is also licensed to practice in Washington, D.C. and Minnesota where he has handled property claims and litigation defense. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois where he is a Member of the Trial Bar, the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the Northern District of Florida.

Mr. Fitzpatrick was elected to membership in the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (“FDCC”) and is also a member of the Property Loss Research Bureau (“PLRB”) 2010 Large Loss Planning Committee. He has spoken at numerous industry conferences and has provided direct client presentations.

Mr. Fitzpatrick has served on several Boards of charitable organizations, including the American Cancer Society's Greater Downtown Unit Board.
