Ciprian Dogaru

Associate

Ciprian Dogaru is an associate in the Irvine office of Clausen Miller P.C.  His practice focuses on representing national and international insurers in litigation matters in state and federal courts, and counseling them on a wide range of coverage issues including business torts, construction defect, employment practices, and environmental coverage.

Mr. Dogaru received his J.D. degree in 2001 from The American University, Washington College of Law.  During law school, Mr. Dogaru clerked for the Securities & Exchange Commission-Division of Enforcement, where he assisted senior attorneys in investigating and developing civil actions involving insider trading, accounting fraud, fraudulent public disclosures, and breach of fiduciary duties by corporate officers.  As a judicial clerk in the chambers of the Honorable Stephen S. Mitchell, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Virginia, he focused on Chapter 7 liquidations and Chapter 11 corporate reorganizations.  Mr. Dogaru also clerked for the Chief Counsel of Import Administration at the Commerce Department, where he investigated anti-dumping petitions and the merits of countervailing duties.  At The American University, Mr. Dogaru was involved in the Federal Tax Clinic representing taxpayers facing IRS adversarial proceedings.

Mr. Dogaru received his B.A. degree in 1998 from University of California, Santa Barbara, and his M.B.A., corporate finance emphasis, from The American University, Kogod School of Business.
