Mr. Bozych is an experienced and skilled counselor, litigator and veteran trial attorney. He has been a partner at Clausen Miller P.C. since 1995. Mr. Bozych joined the firm in 1988, immediately after law school. While receiving his juris doctor degree, he was an editor of the Law Review. He graduated from law school with honors. Mr. Bozych is a member of the Board of Directors at Clausen Miller.
Mr. Bozych has a national practice involving the litigation, trial and resolution of a wide variety of complex lawsuits and other types of disputes. He has vast experience representing companies in products liability lawsuits, actions based upon premises liability, transportation, construction litigation, and commercial disputes, including employment practices. In the transportation arena, Mr. Bozych has special expertise in catastrophic loss cases.
Mr. Bozych serves as outside general counsel for several public and private companies, who are both domestic and international. In this capacity, he acts as a counselor, litigator and liaison with governmental regulatory agencies.
Mr. Bozych has successfully tried many lawsuits to verdict in the Federal Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Cook County, Illinois and across the United States. All of his trials have involved complex issues of liability and damages. He has represented clients in both state and federal court and before administrative agencies. He is a member of several bar associations, associations of trial attorneys and the Defense Research Institute.
Mr. Bozych chairs Clausen Miller's intensive in-house trial advocacy program, which is attended by the firm's senior associates. He also sits on the firm's finance, new attorney, education and library committees.
Mr. Bozych has been published on numerous occasions, in both legal texts and industry publications. For example, he has published a chapter on common law negligence theories. He has also published on the subject of risk management. In addition, he frequently publishes and lectures concerning developments in decisional law regarding his areas of concentration.
Mr. Bozych is regularly called upon to take over cases which have been prepared by other firms. Typically, these matters are on the eve of trial. He is routinely asked to evaluate complicated cases for clients and to give counsel or participate in alternative dispute resolution in matters which have been worked up by other firms.
