Yoko Yamamoto
Associate
Ms. Yamamoto is an associate in the New York office of Clausen Miller. Her practice is primarily concentrated in the areas of insurance coverage and litigation. Her practice also includes commercial and corporate litigation.
Ms. Yamamoto provides representation to insurers and self-insureds in matters related to insurance coverage, including rendering of coverage opinions and representation in declaratory judgment litigation involving general liability, excess/umbrella, professional liability, directors and officers, employment related practices, and property policies. Ms. Yamamoto frequently authors insurance coverage opinions and policy analysis concerning the availability or scope of coverage, the enforcement of policy conditions and the interplay of multiple coverages.
In addition to an LL.B. degree from Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan, Ms. Yamamoto received an LL.M. degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, an LL.M. degree from the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon.
Ms. Yamamoto is fluent in Japanese and assists the firm’s Japanese clients in insurance services and commercial litigation matters.
