Ilene M. Korey is a partner with Clausen Miller P.C. She concentrates her litigation practice in the areas of liability coverage, professional liability, and commercial litigation.
Ms. Korey was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1983. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado in 1979 and obtained her Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law in 1983. Ms. Korey is admitted to practice before the District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and its Trial Bar and has been admitted pro hac vice in various other jurisdictions
Ms. Korey has an "AV" rating with Martindale-Hubbell indicating the highest ranking in legal ability and ethical standards as determined by her peers in the legal community.
Ms. Korey's broad spectrum of litigation experience includes all aspects of insurance matters, particularly liability coverage disputes. She has served on the Board of Managers of Chicago Bar Association, the Board of Directors of the Chicago Bar Foundation, chaired the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Section representing over 14,000 lawyers, served as District Representative to the American Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division Executive Council, and is a member of the American Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association. She has served on numerous public service agencies including founding board member of Coordinated Advice & Referral Program for Legal Services (CARPLS), and board member of PILI, Center for Conflict Resolution, and the Make A Wish Foundation of Northern Illinois. From 1990 to 1998, Ms. Korey served as Special Assistant Attorney General of the State of Illinois.
Ms. Korey is an arbitrator for the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program and the National Futures Association.
