Karen Bettcher

Karen Bettcher is an associate at Clausen Miller P.C. Her work primarily focuses on litigation, particularly in the areas of medical malpractice and professional liability defense.
Ms. Bettcher received her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School, where she graduated cum laude. Ms. Bettcher was the Managing Editor of The John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law, Associate Justice of the Moot Court Executive Board and an octofinalist in the national Evan A. Evans Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition. She authored The Patent Reform Act's Proposed First-to-File Standard: Needed Reform or Constitutional Blunder?, 6 J. Marshall Rev. Intell. Prop. L. 129 (2006). Ms. Bettcher earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science at Miami University.
