Jack J. Murphy

Jack J. Murphy is an associate at Clausen Miller in the Chicago office. Jack concentrates his practice on civil litigation in the areas of medical malpractice, employment law, professional liability, and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Clausen Miller, Jack worked for a small litigation firm in Chicago, where he focused his practice on commercial litigation, municipal law, employment discrimination, civil rights law and medical malpractice. During law school, Jack worked for the City of Chicago where he obtained substantial experience in municipal law and represented the City in its Administrative Hearings Department. He also served as an extern for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services advising citizens on the portability provisions of HIPAA and reviewing certification requirements for health care entities.
Jack graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame receiving a B.A. in English Pre-Professional Studies. He earned his Juris Doctorate and certificate in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago in 2006. At Loyola, he was a member of the Health Law Institute and an associate editor of the Annals of Health Law.
