Paul W. Daugherity

Associate

Paul W. Daugherity is an associate in the Chicago office and concentrates his practice in insurance coverage, employment, products liability - in both commercial and personal injury matters, construction litigation, and general casualty liability defense.

Prior to joining Clausen Miller P.C., Mr. Daugherity worked for another defense firm in Chicago where he focused on medical malpractice defense of hospitals. Of note, Mr. Daugherity successfully had a "bad baby" case dismissed by proving that the plaintiff's cerebral palsy was not the result of negligence in the delivery of the baby, but was the result of a genetic abnormality. Mr. Daugherity has significant litigation experience, and is particularly well versed in successful motion practice in the State and Federal Courts. Mr. Daugherity has also successfully tried a case to verdict before a jury in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.

Mr. Daugherity earned a B.S. in both sociology and psychology from Iowa State University in 1997. In 2000, he earned his M.A. in sociology, with a focus in demography, from the State University of New York at Albany. In 2005, he earned his juris doctorate from DePaul University School of Law.
