Kathleen E. Bailey

Partner

Kathleen E. Bailey, a partner in our Irvine, California office, is extensively involved in the Firm’s insurance law practice. Ms. Bailey has rendered coverage opinions involving standard and manuscript foreign and domestic liability policies, manuscript environmental policies, personal injury and advertising injury policies, customized endorsements, surety and performance bonds, officers and directors and other professional liability policies. Ms. Bailey has significant experience in declaratory relief and bad faith litigation.

She is also routinely retained by insurers to oversee and recommend defensive strategies on high exposure matters, including employment, sexual molestation, construction defect, intellectual property, toxic torts, products liability, and wrongful death litigation.

Ms. Bailey has also enjoyed success within the trial and appellate courts representing insureds in products liability, general tort, and commercial litigation.  Because many of the litigation matters handled by Ms. Bailey involve corporations conducting business internationally, she also has significant experience procedurally defeating actions filed in the U.S. on personal jurisdiction and forum non conveniens grounds and upholding these trial court victories at the appellate level.

Through the unique combination of her litigation and insurance practices, Ms. Bailey offers the practical and theoretical talent necessary to develop and implement winning solutions in a variety of complex and difficult situations.
