Colleen A. Brown

Partner

Colleen is a partner in the firm’s Chicago office.  She concentrates her practice in both liability insurance coverage and intellectual property.  Colleen handles all aspects of insurance claims, including claims handling, preparation of opinion letters and litigation of declaratory judgment actions.  Colleen has defended clients in numerous large scale, high profile coverage cases relating to a variety of underlying issues such as environmental contamination, asbestos and advertising injury claims.

Colleen is also a registered patent attorney, admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  She works on a variety of intellectual property matters including patent prosecution, the defense of trademark infringement claims, defamation claims and the prosecution of legal malpractice claims relating to the improper prosecution of patent applications. 

Colleen was a 1998 Clausen Miller P.C. summer associate and joined the firm in 1999 after graduating from DePaul University's College of Law.  At DePaul, Colleen was an editor of The Health Care Law Journal. Colleen was also a member of the Dean's List.

Colleen earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in 1996.
