Serena A Cesani

Associate

Serena Cesani is an associate with Clausen Miller P.C. in its professional liability department. Her practice is focused primarily on the areas of casualty/liability defense, construction litigation, legal malpractice, employment law, real estate, premises liability, products liability, professional negligence and personal injury matters. These areas involve the defense of a variety of professionals in both the State and Federal Courts, including attorneys, business owners, accountants, real estate management companies, architects, engineers, contractors, developers, directors and officers. 

Ms. Cesani is currently admitted to practice before New York and New Jersey State Courts as well as the U.S. District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey. She is also a certified mediator, with experience mediating disputes in cases pending in both the New York State and New Jersey Court systems.

Prior to joining Clausen Miller P.C., Ms. Cesani was a litigation associate with a national insurance defense law firm, where her practice also focused on defending claims against a variety of professionals, focusing mainly on attorneys. Ms. Cesani began her legal career as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Thomas J. LaConte, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, County of Passaic. In this capacity, Ms. Cesani assisted in writing decisions and opinions, many of which were later upheld by the New Jersey Appellate Court.

Ms. Cesani received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the Pennsylvania State University.  Ms. Cesani received her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law. During her time at Seton Hall, Ms. Cesani was a member of the Civil Litigation Clinic where she represented home owners who were victims of fraudulent mortgage lending schemes. In this capacity, Ms. Cesani assisted in obtaining dismissal of many of these actions.
