CM Partner Hemingway Participates In This Year's Lloyd's (China) 360 Risk Insight Event

CM partner J. Ryan Hemingway participated in this year's Lloyd's (China) 360 Risk Insight event held June 10th in Shanghai, China. This year's theme addressed whether business is facing a liability crisis as a result of the worldwide economic recession. Among the small group of keynote speakers, there was talk on the issue of how the financial crisis is affecting litigation and how that impacts China. Mr. Hemingway was selected as one of the four panelists to address questions on enforcement of international awards against Chinese companies, as well as other questions dealing with jurisdiction, arbitration, and specific case handling. Mr. Hemingway was one of a few lawyers participating in the event, which was attended by approximately 200 industry professionals from around Asia and Europe. Chairing the event was Lord Levene, Chairman of Lloyd's.
