CM Partners Dominick W. Savaiano and J. Ryan Hemingway at Lloyd's 360 Risk Insite Event
CM partners Dominick W. Savaiano and J. Ryan Hemingway participated in this year's Lloyd's (China) 360 Risk Insight event held June 10th in Shanghai, China. This year's theme addressed whether business is facing a liability crisis as a result of the worldwide economic recession. Mr. Savaiano was among the small group of keynote speakers and spoke on the issue of how the financial crisis is affecting litigation and how that impacts China. Mr. Hemingway was selected as one of the four panelists to address questions from the audience. Mr. Hemingway addressed questions on enforcement of international awards against Chinese companies, as well as other questions dealing with jurisdiction, arbitration, and specific case handling. Messrs. Savaiano and Hemingway were the only lawyers participating in the event, which was attended by approximately 200 industry professionals from around Asia and Europe. Chairing the event was Lord Levene, Chairman of Lloyd's.
