Rauchwerger Speaks On "Strategy" At CLM Annual Conference

CM partner Dean Rauchwerger, spoke on "Strategy—The Big Difference Between Winning and Losing" as part of a panel presentation at the CLM (Claims & Litigation Management Alliance) Fifth Annual Conference in San Diego, March 28-30, 2012. This interactive seminar before insurance executives, risk managers, claims professionals, forensic experts and counsel, elaborated on strategic thinking and planning for maximizing litigation success. The principles from Sun Tsu's classic, "The Art of War," were used to illustrate the relevance of his teachings, from more than 2,000 years ago, in today's current litigation climate. The program discussed the meaning of strategy, defining strategic objectives, shaping the battlefield, getting the winning edge with informal discovery, crisis management, interfacing with regulators and fact-finders, media involvement, managing experts, inter-play of multiple insurers, pleadings and creating the ripe milieu for ADR negotiations.
