"Chancery and Special Remedies" Subrogation Chapter Update

March 01, 2007

Clausen Miller is pleased to be able to offer a free copy of shareholder Bob Gilmartin's 2006 supplement of his chapter on Subrogation from the handbook "Chancery and Special Remedies" published by the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

The IICLE is the organization which conducts education seminars and publishes handbooks on substantive and procedural legal topics for Illinois lawyers.  This work is a semiannual supplementation.

The chapter defines subrogation and tells of its legal and equitable history.  Various types of subrogation, such as in the property, casualty, bankruptcy, estate and worker's compensation areas, are discussed.  The chapter also covers some major procedural and documentation issues related to subrogation.

Mr. Gilmartin has been at attorney at Clausen Miller for over 27 years.  He litigates all types of insurance related matters, including subrogation, first party property, liability/defense, toxic tort in the workplace, and product liability cases.  He has tried cases to verdict in state and federal courts throughout the country.  In addition, he has been a featured speaker at numerous legal and insurance industry events.  Please feel free to call him if you have a related question or need a speaker on this topic.

If you would like a free copy of the chapter on Subrogation call Bob Gilmartin at (312) 606-7856 or e-mail him at rgilmartin@clausen.com
