John "Jack" Witous
July 11, 2007
We regret to inform you that one of Clausen Miller's past Presidents, John ("Jack") J. Witous, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2007.
Jack joined the Firm in 1950 when the Firm was called Clausen, Hirsh & Miller and by the time he retired in 1992 the name had changed to Clausen Miller Gorman Caffrey and Witous. His practice covered all areas served by the Firm, but his lasting legacy was his interest in developing, promoting and maintaining a national and international property/subrogation practice well ahead of today's international fervor. We at Clausen Miller have Jack to thank for having the vision, courage and foresight to see the benefits of a national/international presence. He prided himself and the Firm on a professional idealism. All clients were treated with respect, and the Firm would offer its total commitment and support to serve the client's best interest.
Jack was very influential in the lives and careers of many of our lawyers. He will surely be missed. Please take a few moments to open and read Jack's attached obituary.
