Todd M. Murphy is a partner at Clausen Miller P.C. and joined the firm in 2003 after graduating cum laude from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.  Mr. Murphy received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Notre Dame in 1996, where he studied English and Pre-Professional Studies.

Mr. Murphy's practice at Clausen Miller focuses primarily on various areas in casualty, commercial, and insurance-related litigation.  He specializes in the areas of product, premises, and professional liability, as well as construction, transportation, and healthcare litigation.  He also represents clients in class action, business, and commercial matters, including leasing, employment, and contract issues.  Mr. Murphy represents clients domestically, as well as internationally, including clients in China, Taiwan, and Canada.

Mr. Murphy has successfully tried many matters in the state and federal courts of Illinois, as well as numerous courts throughout the United States, involving several complex areas of the law.  He also regularly represents his clients in formal arbitration and at mediation.

Mr. Murphy is Chairperson of Clausen Miller's Summer Intern Committee, and sits on the Firm's Hiring and Retention Committee and Business Practice Group.

While attending John Marshall, Mr. Murphy was published in The John Marshall Law Review and served as an editor on its Board. He served as President of the Student Bar Association and has held seats on John Marshall's Alumni Board of Directors, Decanal Search Committee, and Faculty Executive Committee. Prior to joining Clausen Miller, he was an intern with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, working in various areas of labor and employment defense litigation.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Murphy served as Clinical Studies Coordinator for the Divisions of Gastroenterology at Loyola University Medical Center and Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, composing grants for the National Institute of Health and organizing numerous pharmaceutical, surgical, and oncological studies.
