Clausen Miller’s Bankruptcy Group has represented insurance companies and other parties in national bankruptcy cases, including K-mart Corporation, Budget Rent-A-Car, Conseco, Inc., Comdisco Ventures, Inc., World Access, Inc., ABC-NACO and Outboard Marine Corporation, among others.
With expertise in commercial litigation, general business and bankruptcy law, the Bankruptcy Group provides bankruptcy counsel to a variety of clients, including securities firms and financial institutions, broker-dealers, SIPC, and other general creditors. The Bankruptcy Group also represents directors and officers in bankruptcy related litigation.
Individuals in the Bankruptcy Group are frequent speakers at professional programs and have made many presentations to various industry groups on bankruptcy related insurance issues. Susan N. K. Gummow, an attorney in the Bankruptcy Group and authority on the specialized issues of insurance and bankruptcy law, is the author of the Bankruptcy and Insurance Law Manual, recently published by the American Bankruptcy Institute.
