Biography

Angela M. Hahn is a partner based in Austin who concentrates her practice on insurance defense, with a focus on Texas uninsured/underinsured motorist law and bad faith.  Before transitioning to defense work, Angela spent 20 years on the plaintiff’s side of the aisle, handling property subrogation, with many cases involving construction defects and product liability issues. Angela also has extensive experience in matters involving contract disputes, general negligence claims and insurance defense for contractors, landlords and private individuals.

Angela’s undergraduate background in finance, risk management and insurance at the University of Texas has long influenced her legal focus on losses for sophisticated insurance clients.  She understands the importance of balancing the economic costs of litigation and minimizing the risk of unforeseen losses while maintaining client values and standards.

Angela earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2000 and graduated with her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas in 1997. She has an extensive history of mock trial experience, having competed for over ten years of mock trial before becoming a licensed lawyer, and having coached a University of Texas law school mock trial team to a National Championship in 2001. Angela’s greatest loves are her family, her dogs and Texas Longhorn Football, where she has had season tickets for three decades.
