Biography

Blake W. Buether is a senior associate with Clausen Miller P.C. and focuses his practice on professional liability defense and commercial litigation.

Blake represents clients in a variety of civil litigation including professional liability claims, casualty claims, employment law, fraud, school law, construction-related defects, medical malpractice, and personal injury.

Prior to joining the firm, his most recent work focused on complex commercial litigation and representing clients in construction and professional liability claims, labor and employment-related issues, insurance coverage matters, and helping small business clients on transactional matters regarding forming entities, buying and selling assets and entities, and counseling on related liability and tax issues.

After graduating law school, Blake practiced law in Texas as a commercial and intellectual property litigation attorney and represented a variety of inventors and small businesses in various disputes involving intellectual property infringement and commercial disputes against Fortune 500 Companies.

Blake is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, Texas, and Indiana. He obtained his J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law, where he was active with the National Order of Barristers and Board of Advocates. He was a judicial intern for the 68th Judicial District Court of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. He graduated with his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Texas at Dallas.
