Biography

Colleen represents insurance companies throughout the United States in a multitude of complex insurance coverage matters, including environmental, asbestos, silica, manganese, mold, semiconductor clean room and advertising injury claims. In addition to this large scale litigation, Colleen often consults clients on coverage decisions, prepares opinion letters and assists clients in the drafting of declination and reservation of rights letters with respect to general and excess liability policies, workers compensation/employers’ liability policies, commercial auto policies, directors and officers policies, pollution policies and professional liability policies. Colleen has also filed and litigated many declaratory judgment actions to determine coverage issues on a wide variety of insurance policy provisions.

Colleen has tried numerous insurance coverage cases involving millions of dollars of insurance coverage limits. Colleen has also participated in the mediation of many large scale, multi-party insurance coverage disputes.

Colleen has a scientific background with a bachelor of science degree in biology. Colleen is a registered patent attorney, admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Colleen has worked at Clausen Miller her entire legal career, starting as a law clerk at the firm during her first year in law school. Outside of work, Colleen enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.
