Biography

Lisa is a Senior Associate at Clausen Miller’s New York office. She focuses her practice on the defense of claims involving personal injury, professional liability, construction litigation, premises liability, products liability, New York Labor Law, trucking liability, building defect, healthcare liability, “gig economy” litigation and general negligence matters. Prior to joining Clausen Miller, Lisa worked as an Associate at New York City-based insurance defense law firms where she represented a wide range of clients against general negligence and other tort claims.

Lisa is experienced in handling all aspects of personal injury defense matters from inception. Lisa defends restaurants, municipalities, retailers, trucking companies, and other businesses against slip and fall actions, premises defect claims, car accident litigation, and all aspects of negligence claims. Lisa has experience defending schools and daycares in lead poisoning litigation and all aspects of negligence claims. Lisa has experience defending “gig economy” corporate defendants and is proficient in the cutting edge law surrounding independent contractors and employer/employee relationships.

Lisa also has experience defending residential facilities, behavioral health facilities, nursing homes, and other healthcare clients in statutory and negligence actions brought against them. This experience allows her to advise claims professionals on the merits of any individual case and options for resolution. Lisa also guides healthcare professionals through the litigation process and responses to investigations by state licensing boards.

Lisa also has experience handling worker’s compensation claims on behalf of various insurers. Lisa has experience appearing in worker’s compensation courts and attending hearings throughout New York and New Jersey.

Lisa graduated cum laude from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2017. While in law school, she was an Articles Editor of Pace Law Review and a semi-finalist of the Louis V. Fasulo Moot Court Competition.
