Biography

Paige M. Neel is a shareholder and member of the Board of Directors and is based in the Chicago office.  She concentrates her practice on civil litigation in the areas of professional liability, medical malpractice, employment law, school law, cyber law, and class action defense.  Paige has significant litigation experience, including both bench and jury trials.

Paige’s practice focuses on the defense of her clients in both state and federal courts, as well as before state licensing agencies, the EEOC and the Illinois Human Rights Commission. She practices in state and federal courts in both Illinois and Indiana, and is a Managing Partner of the Michigan City, Indiana Office.  Paige is also the Chair of the firm’s Indiana Practice Committee.

Paige  represents and defends a variety of clients, including attorneys, appraisers, accountants, architects and engineers, brokers, school districts, administrators, real estate professionals, employment staffing agencies, social workers, physicians, hospitals, construction and financial consultants, financial institutions, condominium associations, various other individuals, corporations and other businesses and their boards.

Paige also has extensive experience defending employment related matters in both state and federal court, before the EEOC, NLRB, DOL, Illinois Department of Human Rights and Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board.  The subject matter of these cases spans the labor and employment spectrum and includes the defense of actions involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, unfair labor practices and wage and hour claims.

Paige also concentrates her practice in school law. She defends school districts, board members, administration and other school personnel and boards of education, throughout Illinois, on a variety of matters, including employment matters, discipline and dismissal of employees, discrimination claims, unfair labor practices, complex student issues, breach of contract and special education matters.

Paige received a B.A. with distinction in Speech Communications and Political Science from Indiana University-Bloomington in 1998. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Indiana University-Bloomington School of Law in 2001.
