Biography

Rhey is a senior associate in the firm’s New York Office. Rhey defends property owners, commercial clients, contractors and other entities in claims made by third parties. His focus is on defending catastrophic and complex injury cases.

Rhey has experience in representing clients in issues related to commercial and consumer loss mitigation, large municipal bankruptcy filings, trademark and copyright infringements, and general corporate advice. Rhey also has experience defending insurance companies and self-insured employers in New York workers’ compensation litigation. He aggressively represents his clients and strives to resolve each case efficiently and effectively.

During law school, Rhey worked as a student attorney for the nationally-ranked Washington College of Law Clinic, where he represented and advised nonprofit organizations and limited equity cooperatives on tax exemption matters, landlord-tenant laws, and corporate structure. Prior to finishing his studies, Rhey interned at the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services and at Hilton Worldwide, where he was selected as a Corporate Scholar Recipient.

Rhey obtained his Doctor of Law (JD) from American University Washington College of Law in Washington, DC. He also holds a Master of Law (LLM) in International and European Business Law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain.
