Steven’s practice focuses on insurance coverage law, and liability defense. Clients routinely call on Steven for coverage advice and analysis on matters involving commercial general liability, pollution liability, and excess/umbrella coverage products. Steven has over 25 years of experience, and has litigated coverage and defense matters in New York. He has been involved in cases involving bodily injury, construction defects, personal and advertising injury, New York labor law, sexual harassment, and environmental matters, among others, and has an impressive record of early resolution in both coverage and defense matters.
Another area of Steven’s practice is providing general counsel to small businesses, largely in the arts and entertainment field. In that portion of his practice, Steven addresses employment questions, reviews and negotiates commercial leases, and provides general business counsel.
Steven received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Yeshiva University in 1987, where he was editor of the Yeshiva University Yearbook. He earned his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law in 1990, where he was a member of the NYU Review of Law and Social Change. He is a member of the New York Bar.
