Biography

Vanessa is an associate in the Casualty and Professional Liability group. As a member of this group, she defends litigation matters including premises liability, professional liability, and employment law. Prior to joining the Firm, Vanessa gained litigation experience as a practicing attorney with both a non-profit legal aid organization and a defense law firm. In those positions, she represented plaintiffs and defendants in various areas of law including family law, immigration, domestic violence, and personal injury defense.

Vanessa received her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Robert Morris University. She received her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School where she was a national moot court competitor.  While in law school, she was an intern at a variety of legal aid agencies and law clerk for Judge Alexander White (Ret.), of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Vanessa is a Chicago native and fluent in Spanish. She applies her experience with different cultures and diverse backgrounds to all aspects of her practice.  She lives in Chicago with her husband and two dogs.
