The CM Autonomous Vehicle Task Force White Paper: “Apportionment of Liability in Autonomous Vehicle Accidents”

Our CM Autonomous Vehicle Task Force is led by Firm President Dennis Fitzpatrick and consists of the following CM Attorneys: W. Our Task Force through their collective efforts has produced a White Paper entitled, “Apportionment of Liability in Autonomous Vehicle Accidents”. In this White Paper, the Task Force examines the three areas American courts will likely rely on in determining how liability should be apportioned in cases involving autonomous vehicles: Current legislation and regulatory standards; prevailing legal commentary/views, and apportionment of liability in existing cases involving other autonomous devices. Finally, our CM Task Force of seasoned trial litigators offers their own views, predicting how the courts will likely act in future cases.
