Biography

Alexander D. Gilbert is an associate in Clausen Miller’s New Jersey office. He has extensive experience in handling insurance claims and counseling clients in business acquisition and estate planning.

Prior to joining Clausen Miller, Alexander worked as a claims associate for a property and casualty insurance company, investigating claims by building a factual record, interviewing the claimant and other necessary parties and thoroughly reading insurance policies. He gained experience in drafting coverage letters, advising claimants and coordinating legal counsel for claims involving legal action. Alexander also gained experience at a New Jersey-based law firm where he advised clients on matters of estate planning and guided clients through acquisition steps to purchase an existing business.

Alexander graduated cum laude from Fordham University School of Law with his LL.M and received his J.D. from New York Law School, where he was a Dean’s List – High Honors student. While at New York Law School, he participated in the Center for Business and Financial Law, the Federalist Society and the Student Bar Association at the New York Law School.

Alexander earned his B.A. in Political Science and History, magna cum laude, from Rider University. While there, he competed on the Model United Nations Team, earning Outstanding Delegation and Distinguished Delegation awards in two simulation conferences.
