Biography

Mitchel D. Torrence is an associate in Clausen Miller’s Chicago Office. As a young attorney, he is gaining experience across different insurance related areas; however he focuses on casualty defense and coverage litigation.

Mitchel graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2019 where he was named to the Order of the Barristers and received the CALI Award in Insurance Law. While in law school, he interned at the Virginia Office of the Attorney General and the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, served on the Journal of Law and Technology, and was member of the Moot Court Board and Trial Advocacy Board where he represented Richmond at national competitions. Mitchel was also a summer associate at Clausen Miller and continued to work as a legal intern at Clausen Miller during his final year.

Mitchel grew up in the northwest suburbs. Prior to law school, Mitchel earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Seton Hall University.
