Biography

Partner Chelsea Kearney concentrates her practice on general liability, products liability, premises liability, professional liability, construction, employment discrimination, commercial litigation and insurance coverage litigation. She is skilled in preparing and arguing motions for summary judgment, default judgment and discovery issues. Chelsea also has extensive experience in both negotiating settlements at court-mandated conferences and private mediation as well as seeking resolution for her clients through trial.

Prior to joining Clausen Miller, Chelsea was a partner as law firm in New York, where she handled all manner of insurance defense cases, including slip and fall and motor vehicle accidents. She also gained experience at a New York City-based trial and appellate law firm.

Chelsea serves on the Board of Directors for the Cody Jude Barrasse Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization highlighting the importance of Organ Donation and providing financial assistance to those in need awaiting transplantation.

Chelsea earned her J.D. from New York Law School in 2016. While in law school, she served as a legal intern for the New York State Department of Financial Services Criminal Investigation Bureau and as a clinic student for the New York Law School’s Criminal Defense Clinic. Prior to graduating law school, Chelsea received her B.A. in Print Journalism from the Pennsylvania State University College of Communications in 2013. While there, she minored in Human Development and Family Studies.
