Mariama H. Sidique is an associate in Clausen Miller’s New York office. With extensive experience in handling cases related to general liability, premises liability and motor-vehicle accidents, Mariama is an adept litigator and counsel for clients from a variety of backgrounds and industries.
Before joining Clausen Miller, Mariama was a litigation associate at a New York-based insurance defense firm. As an associate, she conducted mediations and depositions; appeared for pre-trial, settlement, compliance and preliminary conferences at the Supreme Court; and drafted pleadings, discovery responses, discovery motions, and dispositive motions. Mariama also worked as an associate at two additional New York-based law firms, where she developed skills in drafting summonses and complaints and obtaining EINS for organizations.
Mariama previously served as a summer intern with the General Counsel Division of the New York City Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings, where she participated in mock trial and presented Article 78 judicial reports to the Environmental Control Board while drafting appeals decisions and judicial reports on initial Article 78 proceedings.
Mariama earned her J.D. from the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where she served as a research assistant at the Gould Law Library. She graduated with a B.A. in political science and international relations from Syracuse University in 2008. Mariama is a certified Notary Public and is fluent in Krio.
